Students created arts and crafts on the Christmas eve (24 December 2018) at the center premises. A brisk cultural programme was also organized.
A seminar on “UI/UX design” was conducted by mentors Mr. Sirshendu Das and Mr. Mithun Bhattacharya on 16 December 2018 at the centre premises.
An interesting seminar on Visual Effects titled “VFX in Live Action” was conducted by mentor Mr. Subhra Saha on 30 November 2018 at the center premises.
A highly enriching and interesting workshop titled “Modeling for Games” was held on 11 October 2018 at the center premises. Mentor Mr. Kaustav Banerjee conducted the workshop for a bunch of enthusiastic future professionals with a superb presentation and live demonstration.

An overcrowded hall witnessed an intensive and rigorous workshop on Logo Design on 29 September 2018 which was conducted by mentor Mr. Mithun Bhattacharya.
Our students had a great learning experience on 20 Sep 2018 when they visited Doordarshan Kendra, Kolkata.
A whole day industry visit made them go through lecture sessions, practical exposures to each and every phase of the workflow of the broadcast media —- live recording, video editing, audio editing, creating the whole package, live telecast, insertion of breaking news, work process of OB Van, history of Doordarshan etc.
We thank DD Bangla Authority for presenting such a wonderful practical exposure to our students.

Students of Arena Ultadanga celebrated a fabulous Teachers’ Day on 5 September 2018 at the centre premises by gifting their mentors a bouquet of wonderful cultural program.
An event organized in the centre premises, where the participants created “Ganesh” in their own style. They created their crafts by clay modeling, painting, crafting, rangoli or cut-out.

A seminar titled “SEO and beyond” was held on 12 May 2018 at the center premises. The seminar was conducted by mentor Mr. Sirshendu Das, who gave a presentation on Search Engine Optimization and the various aspects of Digital Marketing.
It was a Double Dhamaka for our students on 11 May 2018. They were eager to meet our alumnus Mr. Subhajit Sarkar (VFX Artist, DNEG, Chennai) who has worked in “Avengers : Infinity War”, as scheduled. But to our delight he was accompanied by Mr. Atanu Mishra (VFX Artist, Eskay Movies, Kolkata), who is also our alumnus. Atanu has worked in “Padmavat” for his previous compamy Prime Focus.
Atanu and Subhajit shared their professional experience with the current bunch of students. They gave vital inputs as to how to get prepared for the industry. They stressed on to the preparation a student should take to overcome the huge gap between the student life and the professional platform and how to get ready for cracking machine tests.
The meet took a twist when Atanu and Subhajit went ahead further and voluntarily conducted a hands-on Seminar-cum-Master Class on Tracking, Rotoscopy, Composting etc. for the students who are currently into VFX modules.
A festive-event spanning for two days (27 & 28 April 2018) to celebrate the Earth Day (22 April) was held at our campus. Students crafted artworks with clay, recyclable and waste materials throughout these two days.
In the first part, speaker Mr. Debojyoti Mukherjee; Creative Designer of ABP Group, spoke at length on the entire range of Digital Media from the Media House’s perspective. The seminar was held on 21 April 2018 with a packed hall.
Mr. Mukherjee started with the theoretical know-how and the aspects to look out in course of designing any creative for the Digital Media platforms — be it Broadcast, Web, Social Media etc. and for devices like TV, PC, Tab or Mobile.
In the second part, he presented some real-life projects and explained the design pipeline as well as the key points on which he stressed in the first part.
The third and last part was a Q & A session, where the students hurled some top-notch questions.
A brisk Master Class on Golaem Crowd was held on 19 April 2018 at our center. Mr. Sudipto Sarkar of the Arena Regional Academics Team conducted the session with a very serious bunch of students who are eager to go deep into the nuances of crowd simulation and control.
A Master Class on Human Anatomy Drawing was conducted by Mr. Rajib Sur Roy; professional artist and mentor, on 12 April 2018 at our campus.
An overcrowded hall of budding professionals had superb learning experience, which would help them in carving themselves into finer designers and CG artists.
Arena Ultadanga students, who are keen to specialize in 3D Modeling, experienced an amazing Master Class on ZBrush on Saturday evening, 24th of March 2018, where they learnt different techniques and tricks to Sculpt Cloth depending upon the nature of the fabric and texture of the cloth.
The overwhelming enthusiasm and interactivity of the students dragged the session well beyond its schedule. Industry expert Mr. Subinoy Roy, the Kolkata-based 3D Modeling & Sculpting Artist, obliged the students with his cool and elegant training and query handling.
A fun-packed workshop on Tee Shirt printing titled “Tee Story” was held at our campus on Saturday afternoon, the 10th of March, 2018.
The hall was packed up with vibrant and enthusiastic future designers, who enjoyed this hands-on training session under the guidance of the ever-smiling Senior Graphics Mentor Saswati Dutta.
A groping interactive session of seventy five minutes on “Branding & Communication Design” was an eye-opener to the student community of Arena Ultadanga, held on 23 February 2018 at the center premises.
Mr. Nilkamal Sen, Director – Operations at Festoon Media; a decade old design house in Kolkata, enthralled the packed hall with his witty, humorous and lucid presentation of a so-called tough topic.
Students of Arena Animation Ultadanga paid their homage to the Language Martyrs in their own way by creating digital posters with the modules they are learning currently.
Around 50 students participated in this on-spot designing challenge to observe “21st February”.
